Now, League of Legends is an amazing game; fast paced, incredibly active, and addicting, and one of the things that people love to do in that game is to kill an opposing champion. Nothing is more satisfying then outplaying an enemy and seeing your kill counter go up, but have you ever asked yourself “was that kill worth it?” Many of you would tell me yes without a second thought, how could not killing someone be better then killing them?… Read More »
Gemini is the most recent addition to the Heroes of Newerth hero pool. Gemini shares a similarity with many recently released S2 agility heroes, capable of dealing burst damage in the early to mid game, but has a skill-set that will allow Gemini to become a force in the late game. Gemini is also another hero, like Forsaken Archer and Master of Arms, which encourages the use of items that are not seen as great pick-ups on carry heroes. Strengths:… Read More »

In the first part of Thursday Tweaking Time we’ll begin our look at a few heroes that could use some tweaks to make them a bit more utilized in the current meta game. Today we’re looking at: The Empath is one of S2′s Pure Support Heroes, designed with a purpose to synergize with a team’s semi or hard carry in the latter phases of the game. There is a common misconception in League of Legends on how a carry “carries” a game. All agree, “Carries need gold to carry”, there’s no doubt about that (you ever see a Tristana with a full build, scary stuff). However, where this gold come from varies from elo to elo. “I’m a carry, I needz moar killz! Quit KSing!” Scrubs (or people who aren’t well versed in the game) will tell you carries should get all the champion kills and… Read More »
Devastation Convention was last weekend here in the sunny valley of Phoenix, Arizona. I personally was busy and was not able to attend the tournament, but did watch many of the matches via live stream. The tournament ended on Sunday with Chu’s team winning by a land slide. Many of the matches were very one sided until Saturday’s match in the loser’s bracket with Kongor stole my bike vs Mcdougal. No new interesting techniques were implemented from any team, though… Read More »
While helping to create hero concepts for a couple of custom AoS maps in WC3 I learned one important thing, while trying to please player bases of thousands people. One of the most difficult processes a person can undertake is to decide to try and create something for an audience of people. If you think about the number of people that are successful the number is a minority. It is difficult to not only clearly make your vision known to… Read More »

All in all it was an… Read More »
