The Western TR1BE (WTR1BE), was founded by a group students  in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The WTR1BE is a student run organization on Western Michigan University’s campus. There, our goal is to spread esports and help grow the community from within, expanding outwards to reach as many people as we can.

Here at the WTR1BE we want to help people understand and respect esports. Our goal is to not only help grow the community, we also plan to help the people grow within the community. The WTR1BE promotes participants to not only respect the skills of those competing with them but also respect the person as an individual and to accept the circumstances they are in.

The name Western TR1BE was brought on by the idea of building a community, a tribe where people live, breath and grow within the community. Together, all of us, a part of 1 tribe, we form the Western TR1BE. The western portion representing  the idea we are the western culture and society, bringing in all cultures and societies together as one.

Our current meeting time for the WMU school semester Fall 2011 is in the Bernhard Center in the Faculty Dining Lounge in the cafeteria on the main floor of the BHC.
