UPDATE: Due to a 15-day waiting list (as of 20th June) and uncertainty on when I will be available in July, I am currently not taking any new bookings for coaching. Note I’m not quitting coaching – and I will still be in touch with people booking regular sessions to let them know when I am available. This bio will be updated when I know more. Thanks for your continued interest!

Team Dignitas Gamer Search, 5th-6th place
Masters League Season 1 and 2

BIO:*Hi! I’m Matthew “Adrenal” Taylor, a 21 year-old Maths student from Durham
University, England. I’ve been playing SC2 since early beta and have reached
competitiveness at a national level as well as a high Master rank before I
took a six-week break for my uni exams. I’m coming back to the game now and
having been a long-time Warcraft/Starcraft poster on a non-TL gaming forum
I’m looking to move into coaching! I’m based on the EU server, but I do also
have an NA account if you’d like me to jump over there.

I’m not asking much from prospective students – you just need to be active,
level-headed (that means no whining about imbalance!) and are able to talk
over Skype with good English. We’ll start off talking a little about what
you’d like to gain from being taught – perhaps move up a division, beat a
friend or a more long-term goal – and then we’ll probably continue by going
over a few of your games in a matchup of your choosing, moving on to other
matchups, individual strategies and general principles from there. It’ll be
quite flexible and the input I give will be based largely around what you’d
like to get help with!

One thing about me – the kind of advice I’ll be giving will likely be
oriented towards a macro game, so while it’s not essential that you enjoy
long matches, you’ll probably be “a better fit” if you do! I’ve got to where
I am through good decision-making and general game sense above crisp builds
and an encyclopedic knowledge of timings, so that’s the kind of play I’ll be
espousing – long-term, positive equity decisions. I’ll try and improve your
“doing”, but I hope to improve your thinking much more! :)

Masters on EU Server Season 2

BIO:

Hey guys, I’m Avner “aGGy” Duchovni. I’m a 22 years old master Protoss
player from Israel, and the leader of the Israeli clan “eSrael”. I’m
studying Biology at university, and on my spare time managing my clan and
working on my SC2 skills.

I would like to help anyone improve his SC2 play. As a protoss myself,
coaching a Toss will be the most effective, but for any of you Zergs and
Terran players out there, I could help you boost your play and game sense!

My coaching style is very flexible. I like observing your actions,
psychological state, decision making, and thought process, and then ask some
questions. I try to get the student to answer the questions himself. I do
not like feeding with information and idea, and love to help you develop
your own suited playstyle. The things I don’t know about SC2, I would like
to join and study along with you. If you’re a Terran player or a Zerg one, I
would gladly join up and study a build along with you, making the study
process more enjoyable and fluent.

I am terrible with introductions and stories of my childhood since all i do is steal your ladder points and flip out when i loose.
So if your interested in beautiful differences of PvP matchup and how to cheese a zerg and make terran rage quit i might be able to help you.
I will look at your build and try to optimize them so they have some sort of exit if they get blind countered or fail to do enough damage.
Doing only PvX since that’s what i know best :) Preferably top gold -low masters

Top 20 Spirit Tournament 2008
ICCup High Ranking – B+
PGTour High Ranking – B-
WGTour High Ranking – B1
Fish Server High Ranking – B
2nd Place Blizzard Gaming Night

Bio: I have played Starcraft going on ten years plus now. I initially played Brood War from 1998 until 2008 even though I didn’t really take the competitive aspect of the game until a later phase of the games life. I competed in my first WCG in the WCG USA 2004 Nationals. After that, I started to really look deep into the game. Took part in numerous online leagues to include WGTour, PGTour, Fish Server, Brainclan and ICCup. In 2005 I was recruited by Future Talent Art Control Team / FT.aCt) and started to truly to get into a dedicated period of playing with top level players such as ParanOid, Dreiven and MistrZZZ to name a few. After a year, I progressed onward and found myself in 2006 to play in Korea in my first Courage League in which I lost in the 2nd round and was greeted by Dream.t)BlacK and came back to play under the Dream.t) tag where I was able to play with such pros as Inter.Point, Say[jOin], NsP_FlOwer and numerous pros on Dream.t). My last true event that I competed in was Spirit Tour held on ICCup in which I finished in the top 20 with 55-20 B/B+ stats beating 3 of the 4 korean pros that I played against in the showmatches. After not moving onto the next round of the event due to some prejudice I quit playing until Starcraft 2 came out in 2010 and played a little beta and quit again to only come back and play in 2011 for good.

Now I am actively playing on the NA, EU and KR clients where I am a 1600+ Masters player with team OGaming [ oG) tag ].

Masters Season 1 & 2.

BIO:

My name is Andreas ‘Alsn’ Olsson, I’m 26 years old and I hail from
Helsingborg in the south of Sweden. Currently a student of English at Lund
University I have been playing SC2 since the early beta something which I
had been excited about for a very long time being a fan of Broodwar and WC3.

I have currently – as of early June 2011 – returned from an extended break
since this winter and is currently on a quest for Grand Master as well as
trying to perform for my team. My team, SFTO eSports, where I currently play
as a B-team member due to my extended break is as of this bio, tied at #1 in
the SC2CL Master division.

My coaching style is a mix of different concepts. I prefer to critique your
play and possibly play a few practice games if we can find opponents in the
students skill range to play against. However, I am also open to teaching
and explaining my own styles of play for those interested, as I tend to
develop a lot of builds myself based on other more popular builds instead of
copying them outright. Of course, simple replay analysis is also something I
consider to be very effective. I would consider myself suitable for coaching
Bronze up to about High-masters, although at the highest level it would
probably be more of an exchange of ideas as opposed to pure coaching. I am
of the firm belief however that simply having an outside ‘voice of reason’
so to speak can be extremely beneficial for one’s play.

The only things I ask from prospective students are that you are willing to
learn, study and practice on your own, something which is pivotal in
learning Starcraft. I’d also prefer to keep game balance completely out of
our sessions, barring the occasional joke, perhaps. Some match-ups can be
harder than others, but that just means that we as players need to work
harder! See you all on B.net!
